
Alexis Francisco, LCSW MDiv., lives and works at the crossroads of healing, social change work and spirituality. His commitment to the wellbeing and liberation of all people is embodied through his work as a licensed clinician, facilitator and contemplative activist in US and International Human Rights and Labor contexts.
Alexis believes every human being is wired for connection and growth. Challenging contexts, adverse life experiences and oppressive social conditions can create blocks to this inherent and natural orientation to wellbeing.
Alexis’ warm, empathic and collaborative approach to his work creates a supportive environment for participants and to uncover those blocks and discover the internal and external resources needed to overcome them.
Alexis is passionate about supporting individuals, groups and organizations to find greater coherence and agency in their lives and cultivate the competencies and capacities needed to navigate life’s challenges with greater balance while working collaboratively toward innovative solutions.
Alexis specializes in trauma-informed treatment for anxiety, depression, PTSD, attachment distress and relationship challenges with individuals and couples. His clinical approach is informed by his training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy. and EMDR, along with mindfulness-based and somatic interventions. His approach to clinical supervision is informed by his training in the Intervision model of peer-based supervision whereby curiosity and collaboration lead to greater perspective, professional competency and effective problem solving.
